I am quite liking these taken in natural light with a handheld camera - nice and sharp - sharp enough so that you can see the nCube logo with the naked eye!!

It is my favorite too - I have 3 of them and 1 nCube1 wafer - I bought them off Robev - he has no more stock.... he says......

Sweet photos!
I'm curious why they didn't align the dies with the wafer more efficiently though. Pushing them just a bit to the left would have added four more good dies. That'd be a 17% increase in yield.

A very good point - that is the primary reason that bigger and bigger wafers are in use these days - more yielded dies on each wafer even if the dies size remains the same.

It's a small wafer for such large dies. However yields on the edge are not good, so they may have optimized it for the most centered chips rather than the most complete ones.
