No, the SPARC 64, which was the only HAL SPARC in 1995 was a MCM
The first single die HAL SPARC (the 64 GP) was made in 1998

mmm - was it on a Micromodule Systems substrate? That layout looks familiar to one 'wafer' that I own.

I bing HAL computer system and found it makes only processor and no other chips, So I suppose it was a processor, but unlikely could find more useful information Sad

ROSS HyperSPARCs were made on a MCM made by MMS, which is what you have

They made the support chips for them as well, they were 44% owned by Fujitsu so helped Fujitsu out a fair amount

I did the research before because I've seen it on Taobao. It's a support chip from a HALstation300 workstation (probably MBus interface).

I wonder if these early sparc64 system can still be found in Japan, where most of the market was.
