Is IBM 486DX4 better than Intel DX4 in terms of performance & compatibility?

I dont know what the answer is Smile

"I do not know the technically because I just sell it as collectible CPU. You can buy my IBM dx4 and buy the intel DX4 to find the answer. This must be very intereting"

If it's an IBM marked Intel DX4, then there should be no difference. If it's a Cyrix licensed IBM DX4, then Intel will be faster.

I don't have an IBM 486 DX4/100 but my benchmarks on an UMC PCI motherboard show that the Cyrix Cx486DX4/100GP isn't always slower than the Intel 486DX4/100. See thandor.net - i486 DX4/100. Benchmarks in red are the Intel 486DX4/100, benchmarks in grey are Cyrix DX4/100 Smile.

Interesting Very Happy If buyer mostly play games he would go for Intel, otherwise should buy IBM Very Happy

Mybe he could consider Pentium, but I donīt know his budget Very Happy
