Hi there. I'm a classic arcade game collector, and I frequently pick up spare parts for my collection. During one raid, I acquired a storage bin full of many 1960-1970 era chips, some of which I think are fairly collectible. I believe the ones I posted are the three best, but there are many others, including quite a few samples, and a few prototypes. Any particular items I should be on the lookout for as I sift through?

Lots of TI, Mostek (some NOS still sealed), Motorola, Intel, Signetics.

Thank you.

If the pins are not rotted off, they are $300-$800 chips so yah nice ones

Synertek 6502s in that package are also worth a fair chunk

Ya may find some other interesting 650x chips as well as 2650 and 8080 processors

The EPROMs in your pic are also nice, and the MCUs on the right (MCS-48 probably??) can be worth $10-$15 if old enough

Thanks for the info. I'll dig through and see if I can find any other good ones to post.

My interest in chips is usually fixing my games, but I'll definitely start keeping an eye out for you collectors. Nice to see someone preserving these.

I assume it is best to leave them as is, rather than any attempts to clean?

Also, a couple of you inquired into some of the chips. I'll be happy to offer some of the extras I have once I have a chance to take a solid inventory.

I usually leave them as-is. In some case, letters on metal surface can be erased. But when it contaminated rougly, I clean gently with swab and diluted alcohol or water.

...by the way, MCS 6502 is eye candy for me. because I have no money Smile
