Do you use Google Earth? I'm trying to locate people I know from all over the world and I'd like to get your locations If you don't have Google Earth yet you should give it a try (free download at http://earth.google.com )... I was travelling all over the planet the last couple of days, it's really amazing. There are not too many high detail views, especially in non-US or non-European countries, but you can at least zoom in to the rough area you live in.
To save a placemark just use the pin button to add one to your location, then right-click on it and select 'save as'.

I also go to school by the Willamette river.
