Frassal's too busy waiting to tell people something's not rare, that he forget's to explain what ES means.
ES means a factory code or a country code, someone correct me if I'm wrong. _________________ http://www.RareCPUs.com

Some chips also even have ES as part of the part number. For example, the DEC 310ES is not an engineering sample, although sometimes gets wrongly bought/sold as one.
I don't know what ES means when stamped on the chip as per the example above. I would also be interested to know what the various manufacturing codes mean, if anything _________________ My graphics card database can be found at http://www.gpuzoo.com.

Even not every CS-stamped Intel is a Customer Sample. _________________ Frank. |

Ah, but where is the info relating to what ES meant on the bottom of the processor above, or any info in fact relating to manufacturer marks similar to those above? Once a chip has been identified, sometimes it's good to know what other codes mean, if anything _________________ My graphics card database can be found at http://www.gpuzoo.com.
