Hi folks,
I have asus k53s with 8gb of ram and a i7 2670qm processor, no ssd and windows 7.
I need to use it to write programs and I had a lot of problems just installing some ide's that not even my university professor could fix, so he said it must have something to do with the motherboard or the bios.
Anyway I could not migrate an ssd as it kept giving me problem after problem and I cannot install windows 8 on it cause I always get "could not find kernal" it is just wasting so much of my time !!!
So I was going to get a asus 56cm ultrabook with 24gb ssd 500gb hdd, 12gb ram, windows 8 and a i7 3517u processor.
However the processor is dual core and I am not sure it will be able to hold up to my running multiple apps at once.
Do you therefore think that this would be a worthy upgrade? Could I take the 2670qm out of my k53s and install it into the 56cm asus somehow?
cheers. |

Like you said no ssd - upgreading to SSD drive propably will make you happy. I do not mean hybrid HDD with only 24 GB SSD partition. Use only full SSD disk.
You cann't change processors between those two notebooks. In ultrabook you have FCBGA1023 when in k53 FCPGA988 processor socket. _________________ Visit ABC CPU - Virtual CPU Museum. |
