Someone has never seen one board like this?
it's a NEC board, seem to be a PC board with 2 x PS2, 1 x Serial, 1 x SCSI, 1 x Parallel, 1 x VGA
small chip has the same layout like V70 (bigger it't to big to be a V series) |

big ones are standard packages for NEC gate arrays too
I kinda wonder if it isnt just a V20/V30 on the 40 pin DIP, with a 8087 socket next to it _________________ New for 2025! The CPU Shack has a co-processor!

Looking at the board I am wondering if it may have come out of an early Portable or Laptop Computer. _________________ The Older they are the Better they are. |

Seller has a similar board with the same 3 big ceramic chips but no DIPs
I'm confused if risk some money for one of them
they come from Japan and I don't have a way to ask about part numbers or better pictures |

That second one looks like laptop board indeed with empty space left for floppy drive (or HDD) and connector for external power supply. ISA slot on that first board looks odd for laptop, though.
Still, it's possible that CPUs are Vxx in some of those smaller DIP and QFP, and those larger PGAs are just chipset and graphics, possibly just gate arrays. I'm wondering why that second board seems to have three sets of memory chips: one should be RAM for CPU, maybe other for graphics but what's that third set? Maybe it's not memory after all or there's some unusual functions on that board like a lot of ROM. |

| There is possibility that third ram set is for the audio chip. |

This second board is from NEC PC-98 laptop family,
they share exactly the same connectors order.
Probably PC-9801N (based on V30) or NV (based on V30HL).
CPU is between RAM sets. |

ISA Slot on 1st board is probably for a Modem Card or Network Card or a backplane for them _________________ The Older they are the Better they are. |
