I made an impulse-purchase (have got to stop doing that) and bought an aerospace print board containing some Intel MC2708/B and an equal amount Intel 97942. The dies on the 97942s are marked 2708 so I assume they are custom marked MC2708/Bs as well. Anyone knows why they were marked that way? I assume they are rare as MC2708/B is not common I believe?

Thanks!
Lars
