Well I can hardly believe it myself but after a 30 year break from it I am going to work back in the Electrical Industry.

I am a Registered Electrician by trade and ran my own Electrical Contacting Business back in the 1970's and 1980's before I got into Computers.

I recently applied for a Job installing Smart Meters for an Electrical Company locally and was snapped up by them.

Many of the houses in New Zealand still have the old style Electrical Meters in them and they are now replacing them with Smart Meters.

Best of all I will now get paid more for a regular 40 hour week that I was getting for 50 hours driving buses so will have more dosh to spend on my favorite pastime.........collecting CPU's and Old Laptops.

Have to Now try and find my old Tool Belt and afraid if I do it won't fit any more Embarassed

What a perfect service for the citizens - helping them getting rid of their old hardware... Laughing

Thanks Guys,

Finished Driving Buses on Friday and start my new job on Thursday of this week.

Looking forward to my Last Pay from the Bus Driving as I have just over 4 weeks holiday pay owing to me.

I failed to find my old tool belt, just not sure where it is, and probably too small for me now so went and bought a new one today. Cool

You don't need a tool belt to hold a knife, a nail file and a toothpick.... I worked with a guy who for 10 years had a butter knife as his only "tool".....
