On purpose!!
And then used it
Thats a 1200 dpi scan of an Intel I/O (ARM) processor.
Markings were super faint + scratched
Immersion scanning makes the refraction index MUCH better, for better resolution and scratch mitigation
Bonus, SL9BE is a new sspec _________________ New for 2025! The CPU Shack has a co-processor!

Cool! Did you know it would work, or was it an experiment? _________________ My graphics card database can be found at http://www.gpuzoo.com.

I did know it would work
same principle is used in chip making, immersion lithography _________________ New for 2025! The CPU Shack has a co-processor!

I read about this technique for scanning of photo negative although it is much more sensible to use a light oil..... remember Dear John that water and electricity do not mix..... _________________ best rgds.

electricity is generally ok with water, its the impurities that get ya LOL
Add some salt and minerals and it gets funnnn
There are some special oils IBM designed for immersion work though, with an even better refraction index. _________________ New for 2025! The CPU Shack has a co-processor!

...Which I wouldn't use on a scanner, that ever is to be used for scanning paper again... |

I have a second glass layer I use on mine, so I can replace it if it becomes scratched, or otherwise damaged _________________ New for 2025! The CPU Shack has a co-processor!
