is here anyone who collects SCSI/RAID cards ? i just won an auction on Ebay and if noone is collecting, i'll keep one or two and others will end up desoldered and with fingers cut ...

Nothing says overkill like a caching raid controller in a Pentium-1...

I have the odd SCSI card. One is similar to the one you have with the ceramic i960 only mine is an EISA card.

I collect them but only for the chips on them, those that I can ID as a processor at least LOL

That top center one isn't a SCSI card. Pic is too small to really ID it. But the rest aren't anything special. Especially those Adaptec 2940s, those things were a dime a dozen even back in the day.

they use their own RISC 'processor'
They called it PhaseEngine, and it ran from 10-40MIPS, with single and dual core varieties

I spy PCI-X 64-bit SCSI controller Cool

I have two SCSI controller on my 11 year old workstation for a pair of SCSI HDD, SCSI Jaz, SCSI Rev, and SCSI flatbed scanner.
