Very uncommon in this CDIP48 package
22x Intel C8798 12MHz w/ 8K EPROM $10 each or 2 for $18
The 8x98 is one of the least common members of the MCS-96 family. It is designed where a 16-bit processor is needed, but only 8-bit I/O, reducing board space/routing.
