I have a Foxconn G31MV/G31MV-K (Socket 775) motherboard with an Intel Celeron E1500 @ 2.20GHz. What would be the best cpu upgrade available?

Fastest CPU it will support is a Core 2 Quad Q9550S. Cheapest and most commonly available CPU that would work would be a Core 2 Duo E8400-E8500. You can find them for like $10 these days. The quads are still pricey for what they are since people are buying them up to upgrade old systems.
