You can find the CPU specification for an anylyse from Intel's ark.intel.com and this is very interesting comparison.
or compare
http://www.cpu-world.com/Compare/927/Intel_Core_M_5Y71_vs_Intel_Core_i7_Mobile_i7-640UM.html

From the user point of view it would be interesting to know how many seconds less/more is difference in real life use.
Listing technical differencies doesnt serve the cause.

For sure M-5Y71 is 28% faster Maximum Turbo Frequency and 100% faster Maximum Memory Bandwith will cut down some seconds specially in memory and CPU intensive programs, but the question is how many seconds or minutes faster/slowlier the job will be for an user?
And how many sconds it will be cut off for non intensive programs?

Also GPU is different model; i7-640UM HD Graphics to M-5Y71 HD Graphics 5300, where base and maximum frequency has almost 100% faster.
What is the benefits for the users and how many seconds it will cut down from the previous CPU experience.

If i7-640UM is compared for i7-5500U where the base frequency is double faster and Turbo Frequency is 3 Ghz, and GPU frequencies are same as Core M, what is the benefits for the user and how she will see that benefit on i7-5500U?

Should I end up to conclusion that i7-640UM is more or less as fast as 4 years younger M-5Y71 because of the same base frequency and slighly slower Max Trubo frequency?
Can I say that it will not speedup my work allmost at all?

Can I end up to conclusion that i7-5500U is minimum 100% faster than i7-640UM because of 100% faster CPU base frequency?
Can I say that it will do processes 50% faster than older CPU?

And please keep the thread clear and do not bother to reply if you can not provide any valid information, including guessing.
