I see a TON of chips I will definitely be bidding on! But one problem.. The Pentium 233MHz ES is a Boxed processor, yet an engineering sample at the same time? Why would they box it, then take it out again if its an ES?

By the way I just bought something from you, but paypal isn't letting me pay since it's in an "unaccepted foreign currency". How does anyone else pay?

I agree remarked processor should be stated clearly in the auction, like the Geode 366.

For the Pentium MMX 233 Q140, I've seen another.

http://www.cpu-cn.com/CN/Collectors1.asp?userid=guaiwu&cpu_type=Pentium%20MMX

How to identify it? because of BP80503 not A80503?

Some really nice chips! But beware, there are many fakes as well. Also check the bottom lids of the Cyrix IIIs.

IBM 486DX2-80 BLUE LIGHTNING was fake too.

I think PQFP TI DX4-100 to PGA was remark by DX2-66.

Just because another one exists it doesn't mean it's real Wink

OK someone needs to help me out here.... I know a lot of you buy from chipfans, can you tell me exactly how you do it? I keep getting a currency error (He doesn't accept my currency).

As with several chinese traders the auction is in RMB, but you have to send money the ordinary way thru paypal. In the case with chipfans, i had to ask, and he sent an invoice in RMB but in the invoice text he added a message with the cost in $ and paypal adress.

See that chip?

I WON that chip, a month ago - he promised to send it, said he couldn't find it....? Said he'd refund... Then... nothing until now.

Not happy!!!!! Sad

here it is:
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=6843949353&ssPageName=STRK:MEWN:IT

I win. I pay. I don't receive. He relists it.

Neutral

I paid him in $US and had no problems, all chips arrived without incident. If I had your proiblem Sammy I would have filed a fraud report. I'm glad to see that this isn't a common situation with him, but would hope that he has the decency to deal with it.

Have you tried contacting him on MSN when he is online?

Sammyc, did you actually pay for the chip? Basically, are you out money or did he just not finalize the auction you won (no chip/no money transfer)?

? Am I out of money? No of course I'm not! Yes of course I paid.

Anyway - Chipfans has now been nice as pie, several PM's later I am getting the chips I didn't receive. He seems quite honest now.

Thank you Chipfans, Will post here when they arrive.
