My open RV4700 has 9817 datecode, so it's more than one year earlier than your damaged one. Thus, getting larger die in your one is unlikely and I don't need that one. I've noticed all early ones have C after datecode and all late ones have P after datecode like your two chips and my open chip. Maybe that letter after datecode is die type or process indicator then.
