I got a hint from frassl on a Toshiba R4000 he uploaded that that was not an ES although it was marked "ES".
I have previously added these as ES, but are they?

I don't think they are ES either - the ES looks like just a part of the lot code. _________________ My graphics card database can be found at http://www.gpuzoo.com.

Markings on these NEC R10000 processors are similar to markings on NEC R4000 and other RISC CPUS. I noticed that some of them have ES, and some don't. I haven't seen any NEC processors that have different letters there in place of "ES". The digits after the "ES" look like core/die/mask revision number. The fact that "ES" is close to a core/die/mask revision means that it may be an "Engineering sample", or it may be something else related to chip revision. So, I don't know if they are samples or not, I currently treat them as non-samples - there are way too many of them marked with "ES".
