Hi

I found the following item today at my mother in law's house. My father in law worked at IBM for many years, retiring in the early to mid 1990s (cannot be more exact) so it is likely to have come from IBM.

I understand it is a ceramic chip carrier, but cannot tell you any more. The identification numbers are F2947 03.

Can anyone offer any further information/details?[/img]

Yes, it's an IBM chip without die and aluminium cap
these chips was a sort of gate arrays

part number didn't help because it's probably only for the ceramic carrier, chip part number was on the metal cap.
