I wasn't suggesting buying one, I was just using it to confirm that SL8JX is a 478 chip, not 775.

. . . Ah, I C.

And a 64 bit 478? I've never personally seen one, ever. Can anyone provide a S-spec of one of these Loch Ness CPU's?

Now that I have the right search parameters, The general consensus on the web seems to be. . . Only for 775 and only for 64bit OS.

So. . . case closed?

Sorry, meant to say 64bit *CPUs*, not 64bit OS's.

it is a bit hard to tell.. there are plenty of oddball feature CPUs produced by Intel for OEMs

often they use xeons cores in these oddballs.. so features dont match package

I'll keep that in mind. But I'm thinking PaX is probably the only viable free solution for me.

Thanks for the help.

Good Morning!

I'd love to upgrade my old P4 northwood 3ghz with this legendary SL8JX processor, which has the XD/NX Feature (it has a MS MS7012 mainbord - socket 4781)...

So I could install Win10!

Is this the truth? Does SL8JX support XD/NX???

thanx in advance
