Some people are creating a transistor-for-transistor replica of the 6502 chip's design using discrete components.
But the chip won't be able to completely emulate the original 6502 inside an old Apple board, because it's too slow. Very Happy

That is just incredible! And it has cost him over 40,000 pounds so far! He says it will probably run initially at 20khz.
