My biggest mistake so far was not forward-planning enough when it came to storing my CPU's/ therefore I bought half a dozen sets of these small black drawers, which quickly filled. I have just purchased a set of architect plan drawers (the last pic) which is what I should have done when I first started! _________________ Intel CPU's: 1400

That is quite the storage solution. |

That's quite expensive storage for CPU. I am using $17 file draws from officeworks to store my CPU. _________________ Want List

I'm up to nearly 2000 CPU's & misc chips right now, plus I have a lot of RAM! _________________ Intel CPU's: 1400

Hehe, I am using the same things. I bought some black foam and cut out some drawer liners. _________________ General failure reading disk in drive A

Where can I buy the black foam here in Oz? I tried ebay, no luck.
Btw, Did you get the hard one or the soft one? _________________ Want List

Its relatively hard. I got it from Clark Rubber. Its not proper antistactic foam. _________________ General failure reading disk in drive A

My biggest mistake was when I decided to stop collecting CPUs. My reasons seemed valid at the time. Now I'm buying a selection of older x86 CPUs again, but mostly concentrate on graphics cards.
I'm getting back into programming as a hobby, and will be rewriting and updating my CPUID code, adding a command line GUI as well as tidying up some of the existing code. _________________ My graphics card database can be found at http://www.gpuzoo.com.

why dont you guys buy extruded polystyrene ? its extremely cheap.. i bought 20 pcs 125 cm x 60 cm x 2 cm with 30 USD...
and being yellow all the black chips looks perfect on it... and its hard and easy to stick any cpu (except sk478 , 754,939 and newer ones) _________________ https://www.facebook.com/CPUCollectionRO |

Doesn't polystyrene attract static? Potentially deadly for some chips. _________________ My graphics card database can be found at http://www.gpuzoo.com.

Cool. Extruded polystyrene must have different conductive properties than expended polystyrene _________________ My graphics card database can be found at http://www.gpuzoo.com.
