i know its a common mistake... for a rookie ... but for someone with 150+ auctions most of them vintage computing related? still a mistake? _________________ https://www.facebook.com/CPUCollectionRO |

I have messaged him to explain his mistake and tell him how to identify real ES chips. If more of you message him as well he should take notice. If he doesn't then it might be good to report the listing _________________ My graphics card database can be found at http://www.gpuzoo.com.

I don't think it's a fraud, I would do the same auction description )
Isn't ES short from "Engineering Sample" ?
If it's not, then what is it stand for in this case ? |

Just a die run code in this case, nothing special _________________ New for 2025! The CPU Shack has a co-processor!

What was his reply? If he changes them then it would be just a mistake but if he doesn't then it's fraud. |

He did sell a lot of vintage hardware but not CPU specifically.
Only CPU collectors know what does that "ES" means.
Some junior collectors may be mis-leaded by that "ES" as well.
I actually saw this quiet often on ebay, by different sellers, mark that kind of ES as Engineering Sample. _________________ Want List
