|
|
During the years, my CPU collection has increased in size. Until now, I use spreadsheets to track each chip. Each entry includes information about the chip: specifications, condition, buy/sale info, and so on.
As the file size increases, there begins problems with reliability of the spreadsheet program, and I am concerned about data loss. I also think maybe a database would be more reliable, but I have no experience with databases.
What tools do you use to maintain your inventory of chips? Do you have advice for me? |

I always do back-ups time to time and after some new entry I save the excel sheet with a new name. |

| I keep many records on excel spreadsheets and Microsoft access. They convert one to another very readily. From time to time I back up all records to a memory stick and keep one copy in a safety deposit box in the bank. |
