Can someone tell me what does the 2/3/4 dots represent? i talked with a guy that works in a recycling company and they are buying only chips with 2 dost.. he didnt knew why ..

Lol... they relate to the mold used, nothing more, nothing less...

Some plastics are labelled with a number that indicates the composition of the plastic resin used. 2 designates polyethylene, etc.

However, I don't believe that plastic chips have this code, so the recycler is mistaking the plastics molding lot for a plastic resin code.

Sometimes these plastic moulding usually have date stamp as well.
