i love how the pentium4 jumps (i don't know that the processor i'm currently using can do that)

All he did was overclock to such an extreme that when he removed the heatsink the core vapourised. With nowhere for it to go, it broke its' way out. _________________ My graphics card database can be found at http://www.gpuzoo.com.

That was my first thought also. I have no idea if the cpu blows up like that but their "acting" is a bit to "overacted" (or what you call it). "Wow" What shit" "What happened" "Ooo"
In part 1 at the end, the core of the AMD seems to be intact. What else is should be exploding than the core? Whit a explosion like that the core should be dust.

Very funny, but I really don't think that a silicium die can explode like this, moreover when the die is on the top.
How about the hole in the table / MB, under the CPU, during the 2 "tests"...

You're right. I think the processors were not even locked in the socket - otherwise the ceramic package would stay in the socket.

yeah, it looks as if the socket was not locked down.
I havent seen any cpus exploding with my own eyes, but I have seen plenty of power switching devices "let the smoke out", often in a spectacular way. Multi-layer PCB's are pretty tough, I cant see a cpu punching through it, especially if the cpu was not locked in. Maybe a bit of gunpowder / blackpowder under the cpu? this would explain the hole in the table. |

Shows how much experience I have of that sort of thing, thinking that vapourising the core could do that (I didn't even check properly what state the core was in, I was just amazed at his stupidity!) _________________ My graphics card database can be found at http://www.gpuzoo.com.

It has to be fake IMHO. Not for just the reasons above but the for the fact they 'had' a duron running at 4 Ghz. The only time I've seen a CPU hit that sort of overclock (200%) with with the help of liquid nitrogen under lab conditions. Not in a garage with a stock HSF and the sun shining.
That meant the CPU-Z screeny was a fake as well, a very cool fake to watch but fake. _________________ CPU-Me! Hippo's Collection Online |
