Seems reasonable to me that an ES could run at a slower speed than the slowest of the production chips. The 400 is possibly a pre-release ES, before any production chips were manufactured... (of course, I'm not an expert, but I'm sure I've heard the same said in the forum about another processor...)

But the code on the 400 is 80541KY4002M. That means it has 100MHz bus. |

Look a bit more and you'll notice that on both the 400 it shows that the bus speed is 100. It says "400/100"

just goes to show the problems they had getting the speed up on these
