CPU power development

The dramatic story of CPUs over the past two decades is worth a major documentary, but I haven't seen one.

1. Has anyone seen a video resource about CPU progress over the past 20 years?

2. Is there an article or even a graphic illustrating development of raw computing power, as measured by something like data bus throughput? Ideally, that graphic would display each CPU family, the year introduced, and its power relative to CPUs before and after it.
