CPU upgrade iMac 7,1

I like to upgrade my iMac 20-inch half 2007 - (Not Notebook!!) - Intel Core 2 Duo T7700 for working with OS Sierra.

Can i upgrade with Intel Core 2 Duo T9300 800/2.5 GHz ( Type: Penryn - 3M Standard Voltage SSE4.1)

iMac Specs:
iMac7,1
Processorname: Intel Core 2 Duo
Processorspeed: 2,4 GHz
Number processors: 1
Total number cores: 2
L2-cache: 4 MB
iMac Serialnumber: W873402NX88
"Santa Rosa" motherboard design with an 800 MHz frontside bus (up from 667 MHz), additional RAM capacity, and both a Firewire "400" port and Firewire "800" port
BIOS - IM71.007A.B03 and SMC-version (system) 1.20f4

        That's not a very good idea if you ask me...
        Does not worth it.

        I second. You'd go from 2.4 to 2.5GHz (4%+) and lose 1MB of cache (4->3MB) at the same time. I guess you couldn't see any difference at all.

        It's not about hardware it's about software...
        And i'm sure this "upgrade" will not do good.
        Newer IOS eats more RAM speed and loops... I've seen it before.
