Hi
Iīm a Newbee and want to ask if anybody knows it this chip will work on a 479m Board.
The pins would match just 1 more missing!

I sent you reply by e-mail, but I'll post here in case if somebody else will look for the same information.
Pentium III-M processors in 478-pin mPGA package won't work in mPGA479m socket. If you look at pin signal descriptions of Pentium III-M and Pentium-M processors you'll see that they are completely different.

It is no Pentium III !!
Itīs a Celeron-M so normaly it schould be a Celeron 4 isnīt it !?

Even Intel has the Pentium M (Dothan Core) listed as a socket 478 on their website, when in actuality it's a socket 479. They made a mistake.
I don't know what the difference between your Celeron M and the Pentium M (Not Pentium 4 M) is. If you're still in a bubble, try fitting your celeron M onto a 478 board, if it doesn't fit, you have a 479

I believe it's a PIII. Edit (Built on PIII technology?)

Doh!!! Yes, it's a Celeron M, my mistake. It should fit into the same socket as Pentium M, but check your motherboard manual to make sure it's supported. In some cases it's supported out of the box, in other cases it requires BIOS update.
