Wanted to first say hi to all, this is my first post. So I came across this Cosmac Evaluation Board in a box full of other Cosmac boards and this was the only one that had so many gold w/ gold pins and any white ceramic components on it and stuck out like a sore thumb from the rest. I was wondering if anyone might see anything unique or can provide any information about the varied packaging it would be greatly appreciated. I tried to find RCA date coding and failed plus I couldn't find any examples online of a similar board with these "variations". Thanks in advance for any help!

Welcome om board. The 1802 is the CPU and it comes in the nicest package, white ceramic:-) In my mind that's the most valuable piece while you should keep the whole board together. Date codes are on most chips, 649 means week 49 in the year 1976.
Can you post complete photos of front and back of the boards?
What about the other boards? show them as well!

I appreciate the information and apologize it took me so long to finally get the photos. I have been working my way through a recently shut down coal driven energy companies research and development facility. I have found many more chips I want to eventually post photos of and get some input as I sure have caught the chip collecting fever! I attached the photos of the board along with the documentation that was included which provides a shocking amount of information, dated 1976.

Very nice! I have a similar board called the Cosmac 18S020 evaluation board. Only have purple ceramic but it's equally as nice as it's all decked out. You can see it here: http://vintagecomputer.ca/rca-cosmac-in-a-swtpc-6800-case/

If you're thinking of selling, let me know. I'd love to have an older one.

This is also the model only rev. 2. I might think about selling after I'm done "playing" with it, working my way through the microterminal manual right now. I took some photos of a few others I picked out and am starting a new thread with the photos.
