|
|
| I was wondering if anyone could ID the chip in the first photo on the right (all Gold) as it does not have a MFR on it, there are a few others with no real MFR marks I was also wondering about. These are just a few that caught my eye, I don't have much experience/knowledge on any of these other than what I read any information/input will be greatly appreciated. A few of these were already in a case but most of them just caught my eye... |

That one on the far right is an early National Semiconductor (1972 vintage) PROM I think
AD530 is Analog Devices
MM5613 is National Semi
CML FX307 Consumer Microcircuits Limited probably from an Organ
THe INS400x chips are very nice
THe intel C8231 is a math coprocessor, also nice _________________ New for 2025! The CPU Shack has a co-processor!

| Thanks, there are quite a few more INS4002's here's another one that's still on board. I couldn't find any other Mostek's in the white ceramic package. |

| Ok, thanks for the information! What is the purpose of the yellow layer of paintlike covering on the boards? |

Conformal coating
Helps protect the board in rougher (moist, dust, higher vibration) environments.
Often used in industrial, medical, and military environments _________________ New for 2025! The CPU Shack has a co-processor!
