|
|
I received an working HP Pavilion DV1000 notebook with bad hard-drive.
I replaced the hard drive but I can't load the Microsoft Windows OS until I find the instructions on how to install HP/Compaq setup Drivers which are required for this machine. I can find the drivers on line, but with no install instructions. Sadly, there is no Driver disk with the computer.
I would appreciate any help with how to install the setup drivers.
Thanks! _________________ My collection list (growing) http://johnorun.x86-guide.com/en/collection.html |

You would need Chipset, video, network, audio, and maybe modem drivers. You can find the unknown drivers at the device manager. I usually install them in the order as described above.
Unfortunately, the HP web site no longer support them.
I would suggest you find the Chipset and maybe video driver from Intel website. Good luck. |

I have done that laptop some time ago. It is pain in the ... to find all working drivers under Windows XP (it is XP era). Windows 7 should have some most drivers. _________________ Visit ABC CPU - Virtual CPU Museum. |

I'll try installing XP again, since that's the latest OS that I have a licensed disk for. |
