Hey, does anyone know a good place to get a sheet of black ESD foam, I need one about 91cm x 61cm (36" x 24"). I'm seeing a bunch of different prices, so if you know any really good ones.. |

Well I finally finished it. Had to wait a few weeks for foam to come from China. I couldn't find one big sheet of foam so it's made up of 7 smaller ones with some cut for the edge pieces. Can't really see the seams unless you're up close.
The DIP CPUs poked right into it, and the older 29k/386/486s also went in with a bit of pushing, but anything newer wouldn't poke through. I'm guessing there's too many pins and it's like lying on a bed of nails. So everything socket 7 and above is stuck on with double sided tape. I was going to include a first gen Opteron, Athlon 64, 64 X2, Phenom, A10, Semprons, Durons etc but there wasn't much room, and I'm a bit worried about those ones holding up. Time will tell if the double sided tape holds, hopefully at worst I come home to a few CPUs lying on the bottom of it and not the whole frame shattered on the floor...
