The V53 is based on the NEC V33 which is a super enhanced 8086/186 (hardwired logic, much faster as well as separate data/address buses , It is about as fast as a 80286). The V53A is based on the V33A (better 8086 compatibility)
These have some small dents/chips on them, overall decent chips though
