Here's a random (well, almost random) selection of the older chips from those I scanned today. Just to show off a few more of my chips - they're not all that special (that comes later...) but I like them Smile

I'll be glad when I finish my scans so I can show my whole collection off on a web site (the good, the bad and the ugly parts of it).

I would as well if I had to do it all in one go, but a few hours most weekends isn't quite so bad. The part that takes the time and could get boring after a few weeks is processing the scans. I scanned over 200 eproms and at least 150 processors yetsterday, and separating out the individual cihp scans from the batches, and then producing thumbnails - all that is going to take time and I'm sure I'll say the same thing, but hopewfully not before I finish Smile

I do it as a I go. I scan and process right away, scanning the font and back, then mucking about in photochopper to get it just right, resize in multiple resolutions, upload and edit the html. Now u see why I get bored. I can do about 10-20 before I loose the will to live or someone distracts me in msn.

Once I get the entire collection scanned, I'll be doing them as I receive them, so it'll be a darn site easier to maintain - it's the initial doing that is the tediuous part, but the thought of getting it over with and having my collection recorded online (useful for insurance purposes as well, I guess) makes it worth putting in the effort Smile I can't see me having the willpower do scan as many as I did yesterday every time I get to scan Smile

What's that? Someone else wants to announce a chip they have but doesn't ahve a scanner, so you get annoyed about it. You do have a scanner but can't be bothered to scan most of your chips. Sounds like double standards going on!

Point I was making is that it doesn't sound right to say you won't scan your collection because of the quantity, when I have over 400 processors, probably 200 + eproms and no scanner, but am managing to get my collection scanned. I'm going out of my weay to get them done in the shortest time possible with someone elses scanner, just to avoid comments you have made about me not scanning in the past.
