Got these today... Never played Pogs myself. And im glad previous owner of these didŽnt either! 
The blue disc is a "Slammer" 5 mm aluminium with two grooves for the fingers, for better grip.

I just got them! 
Ooo that rugbyball again...
I have seen one or two other on ebay so its not unique. IŽll keep an eye out...
