It's very, very probably fake. Here in Czech (and Slovak) republic was never be seen real one. I have three prototypes, marked by pencil, but real picture of serial item not known.
And used font doesn't match Tesla print.

I think that it may not be fake.
MHB 8088 was used in IBM PC-XT compatible computer "Tesla SMEP PP-06" on which I worked for years ago.

That's only everywhere writen. Nobody seen any. Never.
All of my 3 PP-06 have soviet or western CPU. Nobody who I know who is interested many years in these systems, never seen any real piece of MHB8088.

It's simple. Show me any other picture of Tesla MHB8088.

My prototypes. Real prototypes. I'm not sure about the chip inside, Tesla or soviet clone... dont' know.
Nothing more is known about MHB8088. If yes, let me know.

That's should be OK, probably. These exists and serial production released lot of CPUs, with final marking of course. Generally known version, i have it and my source is really not a fake Smile
I know min. 2 sources of these protypes of MHB8080.

But nobody knows any source of any real produced MHB8088. No picture.

16-bit computer Tesla SMEP PP-06 contained MHB 8088. It was 4.7 MHz processor . I have no problem send Marcin to test Smile , but I think, that is not necessary.

Ok, then again:
- Every text about MHB8088 is text only
- Nobody seen real MHB8088
- Nobody seen picture of real MHB8088 till now - strange, because communism propagated any part of succes
- No any PP-06 contains MHB8088, nobody have one, nobody seen one

Nobody from czech and slovak republic, incl. engineers around Tesla and PP06 production, never seen real one, only soviet clones and time to time western production.

It's only two ways - open and show chip with Tesla logo (or soviet production), or put it into XT system and let it works.

That's all from me, finally.

I'll soon be able to detect 8088/8086 microcode revision on the UCA. That would be wonderful to try (I already found some very off microcode revision on very late Intel 8088s)

Proof that wrote Jarda is only that nobody never seen Tesla 8088. I think in communism were a lot of technologies, where was top secret /particularly military/ and common people never known about it. Some collectors have a real rarities, that extist only 1 or several pieces.
My proof is those:
1. Proof is text about MHB 8088. /For example I never seen MHB 8080 in white ceramic and lot of other collectors and I heard, that real exist/.
2. Proof is a chip. When I have only 1 piece I think that is a fake, but when I found 3 pieces, that I think it will be real.
3. Proof is situation of finding. I never heard about Tesla 8088 until I found it. Those 3 piece were found in a box where were lot of soviet, tesla eproms, some 8080, 8255 and some c3003 /CDIPS from 70-80 years/.
I want make a honest business. When in the future give a real proof, that it is fake, IŽll send owner money back. I have no problem to test it. IŽm glad, that IŽm no only, who have a same opinion. Zburget thinks, that Tesla 8088 is a real. IŽll be look for and when IŽll find a news, IŽll be inform you.
Jarda, I think, that you havenŽt problem with Tesla 8088, but you have problem with me.
