The trouble with some of the anti-leech measures is that they work TOO well. I had to slacken off some of the anti-spam security in Zone Alarm to see images on a few sites (including some on this forum), which means I'll have to install AdWatch soon (which is much better at knowing what should be allowed through and what shouldn't) and use ZA purely as a firewall and not ofr other security. Even with that added hassle though, I prefer to see the extra security measures than have everything made easy, as the info is always there and it just encourages me to make my system more secure Smile

Since I have several MB traffic every month from directly linked images on ebay auctions I redirect them to a gif saying "the CPU is no longer available for sale, sorry" Smile See here: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=6853361579 (he later added his own pictures) or here: http://cgi.ebay.it/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=6861152587 (scroll down)
One of the sellers who did this for many auctions now still copies my description page (which is ok for me) but uses cpu-world.com images: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=6867965605

lmao!!! v funny.

It is annoying, because sometimes they use the wrong picture aswell.

Maybe all ur pics should have watermarks?

Several MB is not much, this is why I don't bother with hotlink blocking. Blocking HTTrack and other grabbers is much more important for me. One grabber can download 200 - 300 MB of data in just in a few hours. I now block them on sight. I also have a script running that identifies grabbers with changed HTTP_USER_AGENT string and other bots, and blocks them. The script is not very effective, but even blocking every second bot/grabber still saves lot of bandwidth.
