Hi All,
I have been collecting for a while now. Over the time i also got many chips that i already have in my collection. I threw them in a box, not knowing what to do with them. These are the more common CPU like the Intel 486DX2-66 and Pentiums.
Do more of you have the same piles? What should i do with it?

I want your socket 4 pentiums. I trade my ultra common chips such as socket 7 pentiums and such to a recycler for their gold value in less common chips. For example, I might give him 5 pentium 133's for an hp para risc. |

I'd come and collect them in person if the price was affordable Show me someone who wouldn't want a load like that if they could get them cheap enough... _________________ My graphics card database can be found at http://www.gpuzoo.com.

I tend to refuse the chip if I know that it would be of no use to me.
Two days ago I gave four junk pentiums to my friend who wanted to pin them up to his backpack. _________________ Collecting soviet and western CPUs once again -- highfive to old-timers o/ |

You should be able to get more than $2 a chip for the ppro's gold scrap wise. They are quite a rich source. Heck, even the 486's go for about $3 a peice on e-bay for gold scrap. The ppro's often go for $5. Here is an example of a 486 scrap auction that just ended. I know the buyer and he does not collect, he only scraps. If your selling them to someone who pays alot less then save them up and list them as scrap on e-bay yourself.
