Hi,
today I've received two other IBM MCM, saved from gold-scrappers, sad they both have suffered heavy damages.
First one should be some kind of Power 4 (the pins are divided into 4 squared arrays) while second one it's an IBM Muskie cpu |

How old are those IBM modules and what were they used in?
Are they military? |

Hello andamus,
very nice MCMs, damaged but still a technological wonder.
The first one is too big to be a POWER 4, I have a POWER 4 CPU board and the MCM is roughly equivalent in size to a Socket 7 processor.
I guess it's a CPU from a IBM S/390.
P.S. andamus, se abiti vicino a Udine... MANDI!!! |

Hi,
the large MCM has 3526 pins arranged in four (21*21)*2 pins matrix.
I supposed that it was a sort of Power4 MCM due to this image (it has the same pin-out) |

Weighing in at a very late date (while doing research on Muskies)
nowadays we call the big one a G4 MCM (c.1997)
and the smaller one is a Muskie (DK year of production) |
