What do you think is the average value (no bid-like-crazy-day on eBay) of these:
C4004, white, no traces, desoldered
C4008 + C4009, both nice condition
AMD 1702DC (white ceramic)
AMD 9702DC/1702DC (white ceramic)
AMD 9702DC/C1702 (grey ceramic) _________________ ..::morkork::..

C4004, white, no traces, desoldered
I have always considered the price of this chip $400, but they are appearing rarer and rarer now.. So maybe this price is out of date?
It's also one of the few chips that nobody would mind having more than one of in their collection _________________ 4000+ chips.

Last two white C4004 processors on eBay were in the $300 range (one was about $275 and another about $325). I think desoldered C4004 in good condition is worth up to $200. I don't know about C4008/C4009 and EPROMs - I don't follow their prices.

I suspect they did - But I also suspect that if they were set to a 'buy it now' price of $400 they would go aswell. _________________ 4000+ chips.

Does anyone here have a C4008/C4009? Would you mind to tell me how much you paid for them (post here or PM)? I'm about to get the set described above and I'm still not sure if it's worth the money the seller asks for it... _________________ ..::morkork::..

I think C4008 and C4008 are sold in the range of $50 - $60. I'll PM you the links.

I paid $55 for a C4008 and a C4009.
But I am sure it was a lucky day so normally I expect $50 each.
I agree for a desoldered white C4004 between $100 and $200 - even if I am not willing to pay that (I would if i didn't have a white and a grey one:-).
I would not pay more than $15 for the EPROMs. |

...I'm not sure if I agree with the whole "desoldered" put-downs. I rave for these chips aswell, but I could'nt care less if they are desoldered or not...makes no diff to me at all ! The way I see it, the second they leave the manufactures doors, they are officialy considered "used gear"!!!
Just like a new car leaving the lot, instant devalue!
So a measley drop of solder on a pin isn't going to make a big change at all in value for me

The thing about desoldered chips isn't that they have solder on them (at least, not for me), although that can be ugly when they are badly desoldered. The worst thing for me about desoldered chips is that even if a chip is working prior to desoldering, if the iron is held on them for too long the heat will transfer to the core and the chip will be killed. That's why I prefer not to buy desoldered chips, and I won't knowingly pay the same for a desoldered chip as I would for a socket pull. _________________ My graphics card database can be found at http://www.gpuzoo.com.
