desoldered chips, especially the very old ones, do work.

If a seller states that a chip is tested and working, it would be different, although if gold pins are covered in solder they do not look as good and that reduces the value. If they are tin pins then solder doesn't affect the look so badly, and I would consider a buy if I know they are tested and working. If they are desoldered and untested, then I wouldoffer less than for a socket pull (although I am aware even for a socket pull there is no guarantee that a chip works). _________________ My graphics card database can be found at http://www.gpuzoo.com.
