Yes. All the additional elements (graphics/lights/lights fixtures/ tablecloth/cover panels) have been prepared in house with some help of my friends. Smile
For example some of the background images are cropped from Viktor's pictures
http://radiopicture.listbb.ru/
and Birdman's pictures

...how many calculators do you have?

Well, without counting the duplicate elements, on the paper, in the excel sheet I have 659 calculators. Not all of them have been displayed in the actual exhibition. For example, only 100 hand held calculators are present there, because there's no more room to accommodate the other 400 items. Laughing

Really turned out nice

Was there a reason for the language choice (English in Romania)

That's the one. The compactness and double use appeals to me. I would have been the target demographics if I had money when it came out Smile

Long before 1980’s, English can be heard daily on the radio, in music, in film and on television. The presence of English as a language used for the enjoyment of cinema, since the dubbing is not very common in Romania, as up to now most films are rather subtitled. Me, I have learned French as the first foreign language in my school, but I did have not so many opportunities to practice. That’s why I have told my kids to learn German in school, as English is not a problem for them. Laughing

Well, it seems there’s too much info for one normal people. Very Happy
In the weekends I have to meet them personally and to mae short introduction/stories to each important area.
I have some duplicated items just to be handled to them, in order to feel/touch some elements. I have a special created area for them to play with electronic/mechanical calculators or just to compare/watch various display type.
In the semiconductors area, if they are interested, I have more items to be present to them, as e.g. silicon boule, blank wafers, diamond dicing saw blade, processed wafers. I have some magnifier lenses to watch opened IC’s.
I have learned many things in the last days regarding how to handle various ages/situations. I’m improving my presentation each day. I have dedicated toys for kids, for example a replica of “Consul the educated monkey” tin toy, Texas Instruments the “Little Professor” (The Little Professor is a backwards-functioning calculator it generates unsolved expressions and prompts the user for the answer, designed for children ages up to 10.)
