Was there a reason for the language choice (English in Romania)

Long before 1980’s, English can be heard daily on the radio, in music, in film and on television. The presence of English as a language used for the enjoyment of cinema, since the dubbing is not very common in Romania, as up to now most films are rather subtitled. Me, I have learned French as the first foreign language in my school, but I did have not so many opportunities to practice. That’s why I have told my kids to learn German in school, as English is not a problem for them. Laughing

Do you have a Canon Canola 167P in your collection? I can see something that looks a bit like it in your photos. I recently sold the one I had on eBay. It was no longer working and needed restoration.
