This looks really cool! I’d be interested in one if possible.

PCB v1.1 is ready and will be send to PCB house next week. Changes are : added header for an external button, added a feature to allow the converter to simulate an odd signal (useful for Amiga), mechanical layout modification. Final PCB color will be black (still 2 oz for better current handling). But I'm still looking for a fab house to assemble the custom cable. Any idea welcome

I don't have a idea for the custom cable, maybe it's easier to use a extension cable for P8/P9?

But is is possible to connect the external header to an on/off switch, so it's possible to build the converter in an old case and use the old power switch? And with on/off switch I mean always a signal if on, not like a power switch we use for ATX boards.

The header is linked to the momentary push button, so right now, it requires a single push. But that's only a firmware option. A can add a "toggle" mode to work with on/off switch.

The only issue for mounting the converter into an old case is the lack of mounting holes. I don't have any space left to add them. Of course, I can make a bigger PCB, but I'm not sure if it's a good idea (increasing PCB size just for mounting holes)

I was thinking of putting it in a case with the same layout as a AT power supply (Maybe a 3D printed case or re use a old power supply), and connect the converter to a PicoPSU, also inside the case. So I can replace the complete old power supply with a modern one.

Interesting. The additional caps on the ATX2AT SC will be useful because there is only tiny filtering cap on the PicoPSU. Here is how it looks like. But if you use a PicoPSU, you also need a 12V power brick. Maybe you can integrate it on an old AT PSU case.

I will check how the PicoPSU reacts with the SC adapter (reaction time, etc.)

Two weeks ago, I received the custom cables from the factory for the ATX2AT Converter.

Some of them :

They have now been tested and they meet expectations.

About the ATX2AT, I'm still testing new designs to reduce the overall cost. With the original design, I must sell them at $49 in small batch (10-50 pcs). I'm trying to lower the cost to $39 or $35 but it's not as easy as expected (while keeping the same performance).

Very nice, I'm willing to pay $49, is there a beta/test program? I have more then 30 different AT mainboards on my test pile, so I'm really looking forward to use it.

I'll post an update here as soon as they will be available. Manufacturing is in progress but I must send all Kickstarter rewards first.
