I would love this board, but can't afford it. Nope, not even with delayed payment.
BTW, apart from the I/O board you also need the EISA config utility to really make use of an EISA board. That is usually proprietary and comes on a floppy. The reason is, EISA is not PnP and you need the utility to setup hardware resources for every single add-on card that you plug in. Without that, cards won't work. Cards need to be setup both in the BIOS setup, and in the EISA config.
The utility may be somewhere in this directory on a FTP server, but I don't have time to search for it now:
ftp://ftp.mindcandydvd.com/pub/IBM_PC_BBS/pc_servers/
BTW here are manuals for 2 IBM servers that I think use this board. The EISA configuration utility is mentioned in the manuals.

You don't have more boards than me, unless you have your own warehouse.
Now I know why I have been saving a few EISA boards for the past 25 years. |

My bungalow is a computer warehouse. I frequently trip over boxes of parts. I must have at least 60 or 70 motherboards (not a huge amount, but some things are hard to resist!). I'll have to start counting them _________________ My graphics card database can be found at http://www.gpuzoo.com.

I have a crazy idea. I wonder if a K6-233ANR or APR would work in a socket 5 motherboard. I have seen old posts on forums from the late 1990s/early 2000s saying that it works. Would have to test in another socket5 board before trying to stick a pair of them in this one. The Vcore for the above is 3.2V and 3.3V respectively.

Also, I'm not sure if Socket 5 supports them. _________________ My graphics card database can be found at http://www.gpuzoo.com.

You're partially right... they don't support APIC SMP, but they do support OpenPIC SMP. It's just that OpenPIC was never supported in any motherboard.
Well maybe I can get one to run at a time. |
