hmm. I rebooted and it's back to how it was. It just means I have to login to the file server to transfer files, I can't see it from my everyday computer. I will search for a solution tomorrow (it's 3 AM here).

Sorry if that is silly advice but have you changed network profile from Public to Private ? Main option in Ethernet place.

I tried changing pretty much every setting. I think it is a Windows 10 issue as I never had that problem before, and with the last update my main PC could see the file server. My primary network is temporarily disabled while I am tethered to my neighbours Wi-Fi via my phone.
