If anyone that is any good at graphic/web design and would be willing to help me create a banner/logo fr my site, please let me know. I can't offer much by way of reward as I don't ahve much - I just want something simple that is suitable for the site and can be used as a logo on any site that links to me.
Please let me know by PM what you would want by way of trade if your submission is used, and please post any images (and ideas) here in this thread. _________________ My graphics card database can be found at http://www.gpuzoo.com.

Great, I had no idea about that
The best I had come up with in photoshop was pretty rubbish really: _________________ My graphics card database can be found at http://www.gpuzoo.com.

Attempt number 2. None of the online banner generators allow the insertion of images in a banner, so I made one for the text and added it to the images I used. I came up with the following. Any comments? Does it look worthusing, given my lack of design skills? Are there any better free designers that you can point me to which have a wider range of capabilities that I missed on google? _________________ My graphics card database can be found at http://www.gpuzoo.com.

Hmm... try making your chip pics lighter (I mean very light) and posting the text over them. And.. the text needs to be styled somehow and probably not red I'm no designer, can't be of much help here.
EDIT:
Try searching the web for some good-looking fonts. _________________ Collecting soviet and western CPUs once again -- highfive to old-timers o/ |

That'd work, it only needs to be simple, and that fits better with my page style than the added design I tried to put into my attempts If I haven't got anything else by the time I ahve updated my pages (without frames!!!) some time this week, then I'll use that one
Thanks _________________ My graphics card database can be found at http://www.gpuzoo.com.

I'll have a look at doing something for you, if you let me know what sort of design you want.
If you want to look at what I've done before try
http://aphdesigns.co.uk/cpu (almost done just need to get some real chips scanned lol) and http://aphdesigns.co.uk |

It's better than anything I could have done I'm not sure what all the background elements are, but if they ahve got me searching to see what is hidden in the picture, then I am sure it will have a similar effect on some potential site visitors.
it'll be a couple of days before I add a banner to the site, even on my local drive, as I've been busy testing processors for a large part of today (trying to multi-task, but not doing as well as I would have 20 years ago...).
If no other suggestions come up, it'll be between that (which is aninteresting logo) or the second one from nikko (which is simple and to the point), both of which are better than my best _________________ My graphics card database can be found at http://www.gpuzoo.com.

I've done another one, with a much simpler design. The date code on the CPU is current, its also an ES!
I have the original .PSD files that you can have if you decide to use one of mine lol |

Now that's what I call a nice banner, a simple but beautiful design, a nice title written in and a good size. Thank you, I will use that. _________________ My graphics card database can be found at http://www.gpuzoo.com.
