Long time lurker, amateur collector.

Hi all,

My name is Adam, from UK. Long time CPU-world lurker but never actually registered. Will try to share some of my collection and also put a few extras up for sale that I have multiples of.

Bit of a background story : I work for one of the UK's biggest IT refurbisher and recycle company in a pretty high position, so I often get my hands on pretty nice vintage kit.

Fun weekend project : going trough all these bags Smile

I hope you find damaged PA-8800 or PA-8900 for me for die shot attempts, and other damaged chips might be useful also like delidded mystery chips. I just need dies without damage, but pins can be completely messy and broken and PCB corners damaged.

Yes, those are PA-8800 that I spotted lots of in your pic. I could buy one or two in worst condition and you can try to sell better ones at forum. Those should be interesting processors for collectors like many other Xeons, Itaniums and PowerPC G5 in that bag. Hopefully you'll find some other damaged chips also for me like Westmere-EX, Opterons and others I may not have yet.

I can't see any smaller PowerPC or older chips in those bags, but do you have any earlier PowerPC boards or chipsets from those servers available? I'd like to get some chipsets from any server boards also in addition to a few still missing processors.

Fire me a list over of what are you after and I have a look.
My personal collection is full of duplicates and also got more than 4 tons of chips to sort trough in the following months so I can keep an eye open for them

Wow, the insight in your work has made me realise, how vast amount of chips are recycled (or in collector's point of view - destroyed) every day, world wide .. It frightens me a litte ..

Things are changing at our place. Not a single CPU will be thrown in a bag before I've inspected it. They'll collect it on antistatic mats and I go trough them over weekends.
